Because NosSky is a new publisher, the first few thousand downloads may trigger a "Windows protected your PC" warning. This is normal for any new indie launcher — the installer is safe.

The installer says "Unknown publisher" — is it safe?▾
Yes. Windows marks any new EXE from a small publisher as "unknown" until it gains reputation (hundreds to thousands of downloads). This is normal — click More info → Run anyway to proceed. Staff posts a fresh VirusTotal scan on Discord before every release if you want an independent check.
Antivirus quarantined the installer▾
False positive — common with game launchers (Electron apps that patch a legacy Windows binary look suspicious to heuristic scanners). Add C:\Program Files\NosSky Games to your AV exclusions and retry. Submit a VT link in support if the problem persists.
Launcher crashes on start / black screen▾
Install Visual C++ 2015 x86 redist (the NosTale client requires it). If the launcher hangs at 0% during the first download, delete %APPDATA%\NosSky and relaunch.
"Client already running" but nothing is open▾
A stale pidfile. Delete %APPDATA%\NosSky\game.pid and restart the launcher. Also make sure no NostaleClientX.exe process is hanging in Task Manager.
